Poem-Winter

After the leaves have fallen
And Autumn has been swept away by the rolling mist
Winter creeps in
Sweeping it's icy glare over the land
Swaying the skeleton trees
Casting dark shadows that float over the dew

It howls mournfully in the darkness
Cries frozen, icy tears of snow
Soft white tears
That carpet the ground below

Will Summer ever come?
Will the frost ever go?
Will we be trapped in this world of snow?

The weeks last forever
Though the days are so short
And imprison us in their white hands
Covered with the thought:

Will Summer ever come?
Will the frost ever go?
Will we be trapped in this world of snow?
